Tell Hendren

Chairman of the Board

Raised in Morgan Hill, California, Tell is a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Both of his parents were converts to the Church who rose from extremely difficult circumstances to achieve successful lives and teach their 5 children a deep and abiding love and appreciation for both God and country as a result. Their example and courage have guided and inspired Tell throughout his life. Tell attended Rick’s College (now BYU-Idaho) and enjoyed serving a 25-month mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Manchester, England. He has an Associates in Business Management from Utah Valley State College (now Utah Valley University) and completed his Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Southern California in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. Tell earned his Master’s Degree in Public Affairs with an emphasis in Nonprofit Management from the University of Missouri with honors and was initiated into the Pi Alpha Alpha International Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration for scholarship, leadership and excellence.

Tell worked in various financial capacities in Southern California and Utah including the venture capital, nonprofit, mortgage, construction and insurance fields, before moving to the Missouri Northland area in 2014. He served in the Missouri Air National Guard at Rosecrans ANG Base in St. Joseph, MO for 6 years in the Finance Department as a Financial Representative and Budget Analyst. He has enjoyed a variety of volunteer service activities working on campaigns of legislators and the advancement of Missouri state public policy.

Tell has enjoyed a variety of athletic experiences. In high school, he was an exceptional basketball player, leading the school in scoring and defense. In college, he competed in Track & Field at UVSC where he held 5 school records, earned the team’s Most Valuable Player Award and All-American Honors for finishing 4th in the United States in the Decathlon. On the USC Track and Field Team, he earned both Pac-10 Conference athletic honors and student athlete academic honors. One of Tell’s favorite experiences was competing with his brother for one season as a member of the United States Bobsled and Skeleton Federation, finishing 16th in Skeleton at the 2003 United States National Championships in Lake Placid, NY. Tell continues to enjoy a variety of activity, including competing in alpine skiing as a hobby.

Living in Kansas City, Missouri, Tell has served as a primary teacher in the Church of Jesus Christ for 7 years. He enjoys comedy, filmmaking and puppeteering and is a proud husband, father and uncle. Tell’s most proud achievement has been raising his three daughters with his wife Chandra.
