Academics

New Jerusalem Academy provides a learning environment where the religious beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are supported, where children can speak freely about their beliefs and be strengthened by those around them regardless of religious affiliation or non-affiliation.

We believe students have the best chance to excel in life when they have a liberal arts education rooted in the classics, original source material, and are taught how to think critically while being anchored to truth.

Every student comes from a different background, has different aptitudes, desires, goals, talents, strengths and even whole subject areas that may require more or less time for each to master. We strive to help each student learn in the way that they learn best by using a whole-child approach.

Our classroom is designed to combine multiple grade levels. This inspires learning and allows students the freedom to accelerate in their progress.

Our curriculum is classically based and we incorporate the best from Story of the World (Well-Trained Mind), Riggs phonics, Good and the Beautiful, and Saxon Math. Our classes are structured using unit studies and our curriculum is put together in a holistic manner to allow students a greater ability to retain and recall information they learn.

At New Jerusalem Academy we believe every child has infinite value and potential to develop and succeed. Every student is a son or daughter of God and can accomplish great things in life. With the education and experiences we provide at our school we seek to produce both saints and scholars who are prepared for life, both spiritually and academically, to achieve their full potential.
